Nathaniel Currier, an American lithographer, co-founded Currier & Ives. They created popular art prints, including depictions of Victorian urban sophistication. One of their notable works is “The Great Bartholdi Statue – Liberty Enlightening the World” (1885), a hand-colored lithograph portraying the Statue of Liberty.
